This paper summarizes the key parts in engine and their materials,in combination with the practical and rapid prototyping technology of engine research and development, It also introduces the methods to fast production the samples of the key parts in engine made of aluminum alloy. The purpose is to provide scientific guidance for the engineers to choose an appropriate method to rapid production samples during the engine research and development. It will shorten the period and promote the engine industry's rapid development.
