Estrogen is one of the contributing factors to the occurrence and development of periodontal diseases, but the mechanism is still not clear .This article summarizes the recent researches about the relation between estrogen and periodontal tissue , and the relation between estrogen re-ceptor in periodontal tissue and periodontal diseases and so on.
