English movies today have succeeded in penetrating Chinese market and gained great popularity with mass audiences by virtue of its wonderful visual effects,compacting plots,as well as meticulous characterization. As the facade of a movie,movie title plays an irreplaceable role in exposing the theme and publicizing the contents of the movie,rendering translators great requirements and challenges when translating titles into Chinese. This paper conducts related exploration of title translation,which briefly analyz-es the four major trends movie titles translation have experienced,summarizes five major methods of title translation,namely literal translation,liberal translation,transliteration,corresponding translation, and creative translation.
