Combining with mechanism of spontaneous combustion of coal and condition analysis of coal heap spontaneous combustion, the spontaneous combustion prevention countermeasures of coal heap in coal yard were discussed regarding to Aotawukerishi East open-cast coal mine, it was indicated that the broken raw coal storage duration when it was exposed to air in open-cast coal mine should be reduced, the top area of the coal heap should not be too big to avoid the sunlight, moreover, the prediction of spontaneous combustion of coal heap and some early work should be done as well.
