任窻《为范尚书让吏部封侯第一表》最初著录于《文选》，此后历代文集均有收录，仅是部分文字的差异。然唐代《初学记》与《艺文类聚》所录，文字差别很大，是其流变过程中最大的变异。就文学性而言，《文选》所录最佳，保存了作品的原貌。任窻《为范尚书让吏部封侯第一表》文中所述范云祖上以及齐代仕履，填补了史传之阙，弥补了范云生平中重要事迹。任窻文章注重破体、用典，追求骈丽化等艺术技巧在文中得以充分体现，从而使得《为范尚书让吏部封侯第一表》成为古代表体文之典范。

Ren Fang’s The First Memorial to the Emperor about Fan Shangshu’s Decline in Marquis and Ministry of Personnel was first recorded in Literary Selections.Since then it was included in collected works of the following successive dynasties,differing only in partial characters.In Tang Dynas-ty the records of this work in Chu Xue Ji and Yi Wen Lei Ju were greatly different in characters,which is the greatest change in the course of its variation and development.As far as its literary value is concerned,the version in Literary Selections is the best one because it keeps the original form of the work. In this work,Ren Fang’s descriptions of Fan Yun’s ancestors and official career in Qi Dynasty have filled the gap of historical biography and made up for the important deeds in Fan Yun’s life.Ren Fang’s works pay attention to the change of style and use of allusion.His pursuit of artistic skills such as the adoption of parallel prose and beautiful language is reflected in his works,which makes The First Memorial to the Emperor about Fan Shangshu’s Decline in Marquis and Ministry of Personnel be the model of all memorials to the Emperor in ancient times.
