Design philosophy shall be an idea which will be built before project starts to launch. As the flight control system’s top level input, it will directly affect the design of control handling device, system architecture, control law architecture and so on. Civil aircraft flight control system’s design philosophy was studied from the view of methodology. Lifecycle, philosophy characteristics and strategic essence were erected, the influence factors were analyzed importantly, architecture and evaluation method were set up, and the relative database between aircraft accidents and design philosophy were developed, provided aircraft manufacturers to define the flight control system’s design philosophy for the theoretical method direction and technical basis.
