WANG Guowei,a contemporary modern scholar famous for the studies of Chi-nese ancient civilization,made unique achievements in many academic domains.In addition to his wide range of ancient Chinese studies,he was also knowledgeable in the field of Western theories and culture.His methods of scholarly research makes use of both eastern and western cultures and develops into a way of merging the new and old,the East and West.
