A late new hybrid rice combination Guyou 769 was developed by Nanping Institute of Agricultural Sciences. It was tested and demonstrated as post-tobacco rice in three years at Experimental Farm of Nanping Agriculture School, showing moderate growth duration, uniform population, high yield, good plant colour at maturity, and strong resistant blast. The planting performance and high-yielding cultivation techniques for Guyou 769 as post-tobacco rice at Jianyang were summarized.
