The typical handoff latency is caused by the probe scanning, authentication and reassociation, in order to solve the handover delay and lossing rate of package, the article summarizes the main switching method and strategy of wireless local area network(WLAN) in recent years, and gives the corresponding solutions and Suggestions .To comprehensively consider the signal strength of mobile terminals, channel utilization and access of users, with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the switch probability method , the two methods are used to calculate the handoff weights of parameters, and choose the most suitable target AP.
