With the urban sewage treatment rate and depth of treatment increased,the sludge has increased dra-matically. Due to the sludge contains a variety of heavy metals,pollutants and microbes,bacteria,inorganic and organic substances and so on,so it is important to deal with sludge. The electrochemical method has high efficiency,low pollution features,and simple operation,small footprint device. This paper introduces the main operating parameters of the electrochemical method,and the applications of the reduction of municipal sludge treatment and so on.
