南宋时嘉定城及附近的方山城堡，扼守四川西南的水陆要冲，地势险要，成为抗击蒙古军的重要据点，对左右战争局势，延长宋朝统治，发挥了极为重要的作用。
南宋時嘉定城及附近的方山城堡，扼守四川西南的水陸要遲，地勢險要，成為抗擊矇古軍的重要據點，對左右戰爭跼勢，延長宋朝統治，髮揮瞭極為重要的作用。
남송시가정성급부근적방산성보，액수사천서남적수륙요충，지세험요，성위항격몽고군적중요거점，대좌우전쟁국세，연장송조통치，발휘료겁위중요적작용。
Dating back to Southern Song Dynast y,Jiading city and nearby Fangshan Castle guarded the amphibious transportation hubs of southwest Sichuan. These castles are difficult to be breached because of their steep terrain,and become strongholds to fight against the Mongolian army,and play an extremely important role for controlling war situation and extending the rule of Song Dynasty.
