材料科学是一门与工程技术密不可分的应用科学。但材料科学与工程专业课程设置方面过分强调工程部分,工科和理科培养人才的方面和侧重点不同,对于材料科学与工程专业课程体系建设,能够做到“工”中有“理”,“理”“工”融合,可以充分培养学生动手能力、逻辑思辨能力,能更好的适应新形势下的就业背景,适应工业4.0革命。结合中原工学院实际例子,我们建议优化课程设置,做到“工”中有“理”,形成“以工为主,理工结合”的课程体系。

Materials Science is an applied science, which is closely connected with engineering technology. But the major specialized courses of materials science and engineering emphasis on engineering and technology disciplines too much. Engineering and science has different characteristics. The organic combination of them can promote students’ practical ability and logical thinking. For example, combined with Zhongyuan University of Technology, it was suggested to join the science part in the teaching of the engineering, especially for major curriculum system for Materials Science and Engineering.
