Method of separation of variables is a classical method which can be used to solve the exact solution for mixed initial-boundary value problem solution in some typical regions. In our teaching-learning process, we con-duct students to generalized this method to solve the problem of heat conduction equation with different boundary conditions. Through this teaching method, the students can cultivate the ability to find problems and solve problems, and have better teaching effect.
