长江三峡工程移民人数之多、淹没实物量之大，在世界水利水电工程建设史上前所未有。系统总结了长江三峡工程移民规划工作取得的主要成效及经验。自1993年移民搬迁安置工作正式开始以来，移民工作管理总体规范，移民资金使用安全有效，移民搬迁安置质量总体良好，移民生产生活条件明显改善，库区社会总体稳定。移民安置规划工作对长江三峡移民工程的成功及三峡工程综合效益的发挥起到了重要作用。
