加强对大学生创新能力的潜质培养，已成为提高大学生综合素质的重要组成部分，而土木工程专业力学类课程又是该专业的核心课程，它对提高学生专业素养起着关键性作用。针对土木工程专业力学类课程门类多、教学课时多的特点，提出建立“依托学科竞赛为平台，强化实践教学环节，推进土木工程专业力学类课程整合”。由于专业类学科竞赛自身的特点，需要利用到各门力学课程知识，这样在实践教学中，既可以把力学类课程进行整合，又可以丰富学生的专业理论知识，这对提高学生的创新能力具有重要意义。
