Guided by Needs Analysis theories, the author investigates students' needs on extended English courses and problems might occur in the learning of extended courses in five ordinary teachers colleges in Hebei province. Based on the investigation, the author makes suggestions on the curriculum development of extended English courses which confirms to the special feature and development of ordinary teachers colleges.
