Biochemistry is a professional basic course of agricultural and life sciences associated majors in high-er agricultural and forestry colleges,and is also a difficult course for teaching and learning. Therefore,how to pre-pare for the first lesson so as to stimulate students' interest in learning is very important for improving the teaching effect of biochemistry course. Based on the experiences of many years teaching practice, the authors discusses sever-al key issues involved in the first lesson of biochemistry, in order to provide useful suggestions for the teaching re-form of the course.
