英美文学课是高校英语专业的一门核心课程，但目前该课程处于教师灌输文学知识、学生不愿意学的尴尬境地。以反逻各斯中心主义为特征的解构主义理论可以有效改变这一现状，一方面教师应该让学生意识到，对作家与作品的既有评论并非绝对真理，时代和理论语境发生变化时，这些原有的评论就会失去现实意义；另一方面教师应引导学生结合当前的时代与文化背景来对经典作家、作品做出新的认识与评价，这对培养学生的批判性思维和独立思考能力具有十分重要的作用。

English and American Literature is a core course for College English major, but it encounters an embarrassment: teachers only teach literary knowledge and students take no interest. Deconstructionism, characterized by anti-logocentrism, can change this situation effectively. On the one hand, teachers should make students realize that previous comments on writers and works are not absolute truths, when time and theoretical context change, they will lose practical significance; on the other hand, teachers should guide students to reconsider and reevaluate classical writers and works under current age and culture, which plays a very important role in cultivating students’ critical thinking and independent thinking ability.
