The LOGO! is a small size general logic controller developed by Siemens Co., its main characteristics are small size, strong functions, easy operation and high performance-price ratio. It has wide application in many fields of small mechanical equipments, electrical equipments, control cabinets and installation projects etc.. The application of LOGO! controller in MCC soft starting of electric drive oil-drilling rig combined with specific one-for-four soft starting example is presented.
