多元文化教育形成于二十世纪六七十年代的西方社会,它倡导多元文化价值认同和多元文化互相尊重的教育理念,维护教育机会均等的精神,提高弱势族群学生的学业成就等。我国是一个多民族国家,存在着民族的多样性和文化的多样性,只有拥有多元文化教育理念的教师,才能有效地实施多元文化教育,这就要求教师不仅仅要承担传统的角色,还应该承担新的角色。

The multicultural education formed in 1960s and 1970s of Western society, and it advocates the multicultural value identity and multicultural education idea of mutual respect, to maintain the spirit of education equality of opportunity, to im-prove the ethnic students' academic achievement and so on. Our country is a multi-ethnic country, so there is a diversity of ethnic and cultural diversity, and if teachers have the idea of multicul-tural education, they can adapt to and develop multicultural edu-cation. So teachers not only needs to possess the traditional role, but also need to take on new roles.
