This paper analyzes the course of the defects appeared in the roadbed of Shujiazhuang Bridgehead. There are two treatment schemes, namely, by way of pressure grouting and bubble lightweight soil filling, adopted to handle the defects according to the defect features. After technical and economical comparison, it is decided to fill the roadbed with bubble lightweight soil. Based on the practical engineering cases, the design scheme, the construction demands and the treatment effect by way of bubble lightweight soil filling to handle the defects of the bridgehead roadbed are discussed, which provides an engineering example and a useful reference .
