“翻转课堂”是把传统课堂中完成的知识传授过程提前至课前并由学生在网上自主完成，课堂教学则主要完成内化知识、提高能力、融会贯通过程的个性化教学模式。“翻转课堂”产生以来，迅速在世界各地中小学和大学中发展起来，已形成 Udacity、Coursera、edX 三足鼎立之势。Coursera、edX 已与国内一流大学和知名媒体建立合作关系，形成了基于中国实际的“翻转课堂”发展道路。它开启了个性化教育的大门，推动教育公平的实现，也有利于学生创新精神和创新能力的培养。

Flipped Classroom is an individualized teaching mode that requires to complete the knowledge-transference process in traditional classroom before class by students’ Internet-based learning, and to focus on knowledge internalization, competence upgrade and integrative comprehension in the traditional classroom. Today’s well-known systems of Udacity, Coursera and edX have widely applied in elementary, secondary and higher learning institutions around the world. Coursera and edX has established their cooperative relations with the domestic first-class universities and the famous media networks to form a unique path to develop the Flipped Classroom in China. Its application and development has helped much advancing personalized education, educational fairness and students’ innovative spirit and capability.
