The safe operation of petrochemical plant is not only the key to petrochemical enterprise’s success, but also its social responsibilities. There are a large number of Inspection and maintenance units of petrochemical plant with disorderly quantity and uneven ability. The quality problems of inspection and maintenance which result in safety accidents and signiifcant economic losses are happened occasionally. In order to reverse this situation, standardize inspection and maintenance market, Sinopec Corp entrusts China Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute using standardization mode to certiifcate the qualiifcation of inspection and maintenance unit. This article summarizes the conditions of maintenance market, the formation of a standardization mode and operation effect, and looks forward to the development direction.
