With BIM technology, an accurate virtual mode is constructed digitally, which contains precise geometry and relevant data needed to support the design, construction, fabrication, and procurement activities through the project's whole life cycle. When properly implemented, the BIM users can gain a range of benefits, including improved productivity, enhanced quality, saved cost, shortened construetion period and etc. In this paper, by showing the successful application of BIM in the design, production and construction stages of industrial housing project, baoye wanhuacheng 23# building, we can see that BIM has great application value in building's lifecycle and broad application prospects in the construction industry.
