云南省弥勒县铜矿处于弥勒-师宗深断裂南部NE构造带上,矿区主要含矿地层为二叠系上统峨眉山玄武岩组和下统栖霞茅口组. 二叠世晚期后,该地区长期处于陆地,侵蚀作用明显,喀斯特地貌发育. 通过分析认为该区主要为土壤型风化沉积改造矿床,以喀斯特地貌为基底有玄武岩风化堆积物的地区和灰岩有利部位为有利找矿地段.

The copper mine of Mile country located in the deep fracture that on the south of Maitreya-Shizong structural belt,the area of mining formation is primarily contain permian series emeishan ba-salt formation and Qixia under the Maokou. After the late permian,the area of land in the long-term, significant erosion,karst landforms. By analyzing the type of soil that the area is mainly weathered sedimentary deposit transformation in karst region of the substrate has weathered basalt and limestone deposits favorable position for enabling prospecting area.
