This article proposed methods for fault diagnosis of power systems,including expert system,analytic mod-el,artificial neural network,Petri network,Bayesian network,fuzzy set theory and rough set theory.The characteristics and drawbacks of those methods are analyzed,several key technical issues and the main development trends of the topic are pointed out to solve the practical problems and motivate further developments.
