The paper presents the discovery of the Silk Road , and analyzes its cultural connotation , especially on history and culture of the Silk Road , which is the first move to promote “one belt and one road” development strategy .The transnational , diachronic characteristics and cultural diversity highlights the academic value and social effects of the Silk Road research .The paper also adheres to world history and global and comparative perspective , which is the inherent vitality to promote the academic research on the Silk Road and also an important driving force of the current research boom on Silk Road .
