The study on aerobic granular sludge is now a hotspot for aerobic granular sludge has in-comparable advantages compared with anaerobic granular sludge and activated sludge. This paper,making a review from the aspects of the formation mechanism,intensive and continuous culture of coagulation,mi-crobial detection and fluid CFD simulation of aerobic granular sludge,makes a conclusion that the combi-nation of intensive and continuous culture of coagulation is the development direction of cultivating aero-bic granular sludge. Currently, high energy sequencing and CFD technology are effective means to re-search the formation of aerobic granular sludge. 32refs.
