The experimental teaching plays an important role in the cultivation of students’ autonomous learning bility and the ability of innovation and practice .The laboratory of EOR enhanced oil recovery by chemical methods is one of the important experimental teaching platform of the Petroleum Engineering Experimental Teaching Center of China University of Petroleum (East China) ,which is a national experimental teaching demonstration center .The specific means and methods to improve the students’ knowledge application and innovative ability are explored from the constrction content of EOR experimental teaching platform , improvement and perfection of the experimental devices ,the management mode of experimental platform ,the teaching methods ,the teaching effect ,etc .
