学者研究主题挖掘可以帮助科研人员快速准确的了解研究者的研究主题，并跟踪其研究主题的变化情况。本文利用作者自引网络与内容分析相结合的研究方法，并以NodeXL为研究工具，探讨了学者研究主题的挖掘，并根据点入中心度等指标发现了研究成果中的重要文献。通过对Egghe、Leydesdorr和Glanzel三位学者的实证研究发现，这种方法可以比较有效地发现其研究主题及他们研究主题的差异，并可以发现其研究成果之间的继承性和研究主题的变化。
