为解决新制造、使用中、修理后的大功率机车轮重、轴重偏载问题，设计开发了大功率机车静态称重系统，该系统通过检测机车的轮重、轴重、转向架重及整车重量，经过计算机处理计算出车辆轮重差、轴重差以及单边侧轮重差，确定出机车的平面重心，并能依据检测结果计算形成指导机车轮重偏差的调整方案，依据调整方案进行调簧加垫，从而实现机车轮重、轴重均载平衡。
