过程写作法是目前国内受到大力推广的一种英语写作教学方法，然其在师资、生源和教学环境都较弱的地方本科院校是否具有可行性呢？文章在回顾过程写作法主要原则的基础上，通过访谈和问卷，调查目前地方本科院校英语写作教学现状，讨论过程写作法应用的可行性，并从教师、机辅教学和课程设置三方面提出了相应的改进措施。

Process writing approach is strongly recommended in China now. However, whether it is really suitable for the English writing teaching in Chinese local colleges is still a question. This paper, on the basis of the literature review on process writing and the investigation of the current situation of English writing teaching in the local colleges, discusses the feasibility of the application of process writing approach in the local colleges. And the corresponding improvement measures are put forward from three aspects:the teacher, the computer auxiliary teaching and the curriculum.
