作为中国的行政、经济中心，首都北京的国际影响力不断提高，国际交流、商务合作、旅游吸引逐步提上北京发展日程。因此北京各处公共场合都有双语提示标志，以方便国际友人出行。该研究小组通过对北京地铁10号线进行实地考察，分析了北京地铁站名的英译现状。通过调查采访中外乘客，分析了当中存在的问题，结合中英翻译理论，并找出问题的解决办法使地铁站名翻译规范化。

As the administrative and economic center of China,Beijing became increasingly influential in the international commu?nity. Thus, international communication, business cooperation, and tourism in Beijing are flourishing, and a large number of for?eigners are rushing into the city. In recent years, Beijing subway plays an important role in public transportation. In order to facili?tate the travel of foreigners, almost all the public signs are bilingual. The research team conducted surveys and analyzed the status of the English translation of Beijing subway. Through interviewing Chinese and foreign passengers, the team found out some prob?lems exist in the English translation of Beijing subway stations’names, and solved them with the help of translation theories.
