Based on the differences of hull structure between FPSO and conventional vessel, the key points of longitudinal strength, fatigue strength in the structural design of FPSO is presented.The design essential of the key structures are discussed a-bout, such as bottom structure, side structure, deck structure and foundation structure of the upper modules, etc.
