辽上京是中国辽代都城遗址,也是我国古代漠北地区的第一座都城,为辽代五京之首,遗址距今已有1100年. 辽上京遗址在1961年被列为国家级重点文物保护单位. 关于辽上京的记载,也仅限于史书为数不多的记述.《辽史·地理志·上京道》记载同样不是很多,这对有着草原城市文明的标志的辽上京来讲,不能不说是一种遗憾,同时也更使辽上京遗址更充满了神秘色彩.基于此等原因,辽上京遗址的保护就显得尤为迫切和重要.本文参阅有关遗址保护成功的文献及实际的调查和分析,结合辽上京遗址的保护现状,提出了一些保护开发措施.

Site of the Upper Capital of the Liao Dynasty in 1961is listed as national key cul-tural relic's protection units. About the Upper Capital of the Liao Dynasty record is confined to the history of a few records. The Road in Upper Capital in Geography Records of Liao Dynasty Annals record the same not a lot, the hallmark of a prairie city civilization of Upper Capital of the Liao Dynasty, is a kind of regret, and also makes the site of Upper Capital of the Liao Dynasty fuller of mystery. Based on these reasons, the site of the Upper Capital of the Liao Dynasty's protection is particularly urgent and important. This article refers to the site protection successful literature and actual investigation and analysis of the current situation of protection of site of the Upper Capital of the Liao Dynasty, some protection measures are put forward.
