清末民国时期的女子学校教育是中国教育史上划时代的变革,意义重大,影响深远.贵州也在这一时期得风气之先,由私而官、官司结合、后而由官主导,创办了体系渐以完整的女子学校.在这过程中,一批教坛女杰为争取妇女入学、实现男女平权而于女校的创建、招生、资金、教师、教学、管理等方面殚精竭虑、呕心沥血,排难而进,开展了卓有成效的工作,为贵州女子教育事业的发展、妇女人才的造就做出了重大贡献,从中反映出了这一时期贵州妇女为争取自由解放、推动社会变革的时代担当和无私奉献精神,对于推动贵州教育发展和实现真正意义上的妇女解放具有积极的历史借鉴意义与价值.

The female education in schools of late Qing Republic was an epoch-marking change in the modern Chinese education, bearing great importance and far-reaching influence. Guizhou was among the first to be in the trend, setting up girls schools with gradually perfecting system. They were run in the fashion of the private to the local official, to the combination of local official and ministry department, and to chiefly government by the officials. In the process of running girls schools, a number of pulpit her-oines made strenuous efforts to strive for chances for girls to enter schools, and for male and female equal-ity in education, by setting up girls schools, enrolling pupils, gathering fund, employing teachers, and managing teaching and schools. They have made great contribution to the developing of girls' education in Guizhou and the making of women talents. All this reflects their selfless spirit of striving for woman's free-dom and emancipation, pushing forward social changes in the then Guizhou, and bears positive historical implication and practical value in advancing the development Guizhou education, and truly realizing women's liberation and emancipation.
