森鸥外被认为是日本近代文学史上的先驱,与夏目漱石并称为日本近代文学的两大巨头.《舞姬》这篇短篇小说发表于明治23年《国民之友》上,是森鸥外的处女作,是用鸥外创立的雅文体撰写的.是以其在德国留学时的爱情故事为题材的一部浪漫主义色彩浓厚的、在日本近代黎明期触及自我烦恼的问题之作.作品自问世以来引起了很大的反响.因此,在这篇作品发表后,历经了100余年,国内外仍然有许多学者发表了许多感想文和论文,且意见各异.有关于主人公思想变化的,有关于爱与不爱争论的,有作品的主题与作家的现实生活有何关系等之类的,而本文就《舞姬》这篇作品的悲剧性谈谈笔者的看法.
