The globally exponential attractive set and non-linear characteristic properties of seven-modes Lorenz-like chaotic system is further investigated by theoretical and simulative analysis. From symmetry, dissipation, the phase diagram, Poincare mapping diagram and bifurcation diagram show this chaotic system has rich dynamic behavior. The signal encryption technique based on this chaotic system is effective and practical, which provides a new selection source for informational encryption.
