Considering various features of softwares including Pro/E, Hypermesh, and Abaqus, the 3D finite element model is built for the bolt connection.The Yamamoto analytical method is used to analyze deformation of the thread tooth and calculate the strain of the internal and external threads.The simulation analysis is performed on the bearing capacity of the thread pair.By comparing with Yamamoto analytical method, the model proves effective, which can build the founda-tion for study on the thread looseness mechanism under the dynamic load.
