英语专业的课程大多各自为政,彼此孤立,不利于学生对知识的联想记忆、理解和综合运用,导致英语学习低效。鉴于此,英语专业的课程整合势在必行。英语专业课程整合是夯实学生语言基础,内化英语知识,提高学术能力,提升学生素质,提高就业能力的需要。课程整合分四个模块进行,即技能型课程整合、知识型课程与学术论文写作整合、素质型课程与社团活动和竞赛活动整合、就业类课程与课程实践、实习和校企合作整合。

Courses for English majors are basically separated from one another in contents and organization, which is not conducive for students’ associative memory, comprehension and comprehensive application of what they have learned, which leads to thelow efifciency in English learning. Therefore, curriculum integration(CI) for English majors is imperative. It is necessary in terms of enhancing students’ language skills, internalizing English knowledge, developing academic competence, motivating all-round quality development and improving employability. The integration framework is constructed in four modules, namely, skill-oriented courses integration, knowledge-oriented courses plus academic writing course, quality-oriented courses plus students club activities and competition activities, and career-oriented courses plus practice-oriented courses. This systematical CI framework emphasizes the organic connection between different courses as well as learning for application, so as to stimulate students’ learning motivation and improve learning efifciency.
