[目的]探讨新疆维吾尔自治区本科护生人格特征和共情能力的相关关系。[方法]采用杰弗逊共情量表和大五人格量表对新疆维吾尔自治区两所医学类高校445名本科护生进行问卷调查，并对结果进行分析。[结果]不同性别、年级护生共情能力总分不同，不同年级护生人格特征总分不同；神经性和共情能力的3个维度呈负相关；外倾性、开放性、外倾性和谨慎性与人格的5个维度呈正相关。[结论]护生的共情能力与人格特征具有相关性，改变人格特征对提高共情能力具有重要意义。

Objective:To probe into the correlation between empathy ability and personality characteristics of un‐dergraduate nursing students in Xinjiang Area .Methods:Jefferson empathy scale and the big five Inventory were used to investigated 445 undergraduate nursing students in two medical colleges in Xinjiang ,and the results were analyzed .Results:Nursing students’empathy ability score among different genders ,different grades was different .Personality characteristics of nursing students in different grades were different .There was a negative correlation between the 3 dimensions of neuroticism and empathy .Extraversion ,openness ,agreeableness facets and conscientiousness were positively correlated with 5 dimensions of the personality .Conclusion:There was correlation between empathy ability and personality characteristics of nursing students .Change of personality characteristics was of great significance to improve the empathy ability .
