老年甲状腺功能亢进症（简称甲亢）是常见的内分泌疾病。近年来，老年甲亢患病率有逐年增加趋势。但由于其临床表现不典型，容易被误诊或漏诊。由于老年患者伴随疾病多，老年甲亢的治疗方案应以使用抗甲状腺药物为主，且剂量宜偏小，也可采用放射性治疗，不推荐选择手术治疗。治疗时可同时辅以对症及支持疗法，并要密切监测甲状腺功能的变化。

Senile hyperthyroidism is a common endocrinological disease. In recent years, the prevalence of senile hyperthyroidism is in an increasing trend. But, due to its atypical clinical manifestations, the disease is often misdiagnosed or missed for the elderly patients. Because of many concomitant diseases, it should be mainly treated by low-dose anti-thyroid agents or radiotherapy. Surgical treatment is not recommended for them. In addition, symptomatic and supporting therapies can be also used, and thyroid function also needs to be closely monitored during therapy.
