Based on finite element analysis and optimization design methods,the authors analyze the assembly con-nection ways and load boundary conditions of the rear knuckle, carry out the strength analysis of the original scheme in OptiStruct, and obtain the optimal design scheme of the rear knuckle which reduces the weight by 15%. At last, they confirm the feasibility and reliability of the optiomal scheme through simulation analysis and vehicle tests.
