Reader service and resource development are the core of libraryˊs development and reform. This paper analyzed the application of modern technologies in several well-known libraries, and presented that modern technologies promoted the transformation of library service and the change of library functions, which had appreciable impact on the future development of library. It also emphasized that enhancing the technical capacity of library and advancing the application and promotion of modern technologies were imminent.
