Objective To study the effect of individualized nursing on the quality of life of patients with hypertension in community. Methods 400 patients with primary hypertension in our community were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 200 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional nursing, the observation group was given individualized nursing. The levels of high blood pressure, self-management ability and score of quality of life before and after nursing were compared between two groups. Results Before nursing, the diastolic pressure, systolic pressure and quality of life scores of two groups had no statistical difference (P>0.05);after nursing, the diastolic pressure, systolic pressure and quality of life scores of two groups were improved, and the improvement degree of observation group was better than that of control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). The control rate of prescribed medication, rational diet, regular inspection and exercise of observation group were higher than those of control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusions For patients with hypertension in community, individualized nursing can help patients to better control the blood pressure, and can improve the self-management ability and quality of life, which has great positive significance.
