Objective: The research focused on the mechanism of isoproterenol induced fibrosis in human renal mesangial cells. Methods: Cells were divided into 3 groups: the control group, isoproterenol group and Stattci medication group. The expression of MMP2 and JAK/STAT signaling pathway proteins RTK, JAK1/2 as well as STAT in each group was detected by Western Blotting. Results: The results showed that the expression of MMP2 was increased combined the up-regulation of JAK/STAT pathway key proteins RTK, JAK1/2 and STAT in isoproterenol. The results also revealed that those abnormalities were alleviated by medication of Stattci. Conclusions: Over-activated JAK/STAT signaling pathway is involved in the pathogenesis of fibrosis in human renal mesangial cells.
