The construction of characteristic resources, which is an embodiment of the construction level of the libraries of sports colleges and universities, is the basis of improving library's core competence. Through the study on the current status of the construction of characteristic resources in the libraries of sports colleges and universities in China such as Beijing Sport University, and Shanghai University of Sport, etc., this paper analyzes the categories of characteristic resources and the problems existing in the construction of characteristic resources, and probes into the strategies for carrying out the construction of characteristic resources in the libraries of sports colleges and universities.
