Taking the patents related to wastewater treatment technology retrieved from Innography,a patent information retrieval and analysis platform, as the analytical objects, and adopting the bibliometric method and chart statistical method, this paper analyzes the general situation of wastewater treatment technology in the whole world and especially in China, Japan, America and other technical key countries from the aspects of the patent annual development trends, patent application countries, patentees'locations, field distribution of patent technology, and core technology patents in the field, etc., which provide the patent information needed by the development and research of our country's wastewater treatment technology.
