In this paper, the challenge of ground experiment in thermal-mechanical coupling environment for composite structure is introduced. For structure in high-temperature environment, it is very difficult to measure the strain and to monitor the damage. So the application of acoustic emission (AE) technique in high-temperature environment is discussed. As an example, characters of AE signal of CMC material (C/SiC) in thermal-mechanical coupling condition is summarized. And AE technique application for typical structure is introduced. Finally, the further development direction of AE technique is inducted.
