In this paper were introduced the structure of Rapid-d1250 pony roll cutter made by Goebel and the experience on the maintenance and modification to an old pony roll cutter by Henan Dazhi. Based on the experiences on design and application of pony roll cutter more than 10 years, a kind of special pony roll cutter was developed through the digestion and absorption with the imported cutter.
